Gentlemen,
It has come to the attention of the Mississauga membership as well as the rest of the country that you have locked out our brothers and sisters in Montreal. You are demanding a six year deal with a settlement in the last three of an average between Edmonton and us. If the intention of Petro-Canada is to try and break the National Bargaining Program, a program by the way, that has worked well for both sides over the years. Then you will certainly be disappointed.
To even suggest that here in Mississauga we will receive less than others three years from now is at its worst bargaining in bad faith, and, at its best, it is certainly not a Q1 mindset. A slogan, that this company is so proud of saying.
Since 2001, for the most part, the dialogue between the two sides has slowly been improving. But what you are trying to do in Montreal has pushed this relationship
into one that will no doubt be adversarial in the future.
We support our brothers and sisters in Montreal as I know they will support us in 2010.
Regards,
Keith Woodward
